Mr Bhattacharya was the most professional medical person I have encountered, from the moment he took control of my condition the support, communication and care he provided was the single reason I survived my perforated ulcer. In addition, the updates and information he personally provided to my husband during COVID restrictions was above and beyond expectation. This surgeon has my complete trust and confidence.

Mr Sayan Bhattacharya is one of the kindest consultants myself and my husband have ever dealt with. My husband was under his care for the removal of his gall bladder and Sayan constantly kept in touch with us by email and telephone, even when he was on leave.
I would highly recommend him in the future to anyone, either within the NHS or privately.

Mr Sayan Bhattacharya is a Consultant General Surgeon and Lead for Clinical Governance in General Surgery at North Manchester Hospital. He specialises in Benign, Laparoscopic Upper GI and Emergency General Surgery.
He routinely performs laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic and open groin hernia repair, Nissens and Toupets Fundoplication (anti reflux surgery), laparoscopic repair of hiatus hernia.
